Product: PP Sandwich Mat
printable .pdf version
Product Introduction
M3 is a combination of chopped strand mat stitched on both sides of a layer of polypropylene core. It is compatible with UP, vinyl ester, epoxy and phenolic resin. This product is recommended for the production of composites in hand lay-up, RTM and other closed molding processes. It’s widely used in boat building and automobile industries. And its end products include FRP boats, automobile hulls, panels, refrigerators and profile material.
Product Description
M3-M PP Sandwich Mats are designed to be compatible in UP, vinyl ester, epoxy and phenolic resin systems. Chopped fiber is laid up tightly, which helps lower resin usage and increase flow speed. Stitch-bonding a binderless mat allows the fabric to be made more simply and efficiently, thus increasing the job efficiency and lower the cost.
To help ensure the quality of customers’ products, the quality management programs of manufacturing M3-M PP sandwich mats are controlled under the requirements of ISO 9001.
Packaging
M3/M5-M PP Sandwich Mat is wound into a roll on a cardboard inner tube with an inside diameter of 7.3cm (2.8"). All densities are 35cm (14") in diameter. Each roll is wrapped with a plastic bag and placed in a cardboard box. Twelve (12) boxes are placed horizontally on a pallet, which is stretch wrapped.
Storage
Unless otherwise specified, it is recommended to store glass fiber products in a cool, dry area. Temperature should not exceed 35°C (95°F) and the relative humidity should be kept below 75%. Fiberglass products must remain in packaging material until just prior to its use. If these conditions are respected, the glass fiber product should not undergo significant changes when stored for extended periods of time.
Stacking
To ensure safety and avoid damage to the product, skids should not be stacked more than two high. When stacking two pallets high, care should be taken to correctly and smoothly place the top pallet.
